Tickled Media began as parenting blog, and has since evolved into a multinational tech company and digital publishing house that focuses on content and community platforms for Asian women.
Having worked for some of the top magazines in the Little Red Dot she called home, Roshni Mahtani was a well-known figure in Singaporean publishing circles.
But it was during her time in New York, when she was babysitting an inquisitive toddler, that she found the need for what later became Tickled Media. Roshni realized that there was very little information available online that focused on parenting from an Asian perspective. So, she thought, why not write it herself?
And the rest, as they say, is history!
Tickled Media started in 2009 as a digital platform creating content for parents. Since then, we’ve grown into an international team of nearly 200 Ticklers, spread out across 12 countries: Singapore (HQ), Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, India, Taiwan, Japan and Nigeria.
We are now a technology company that makes ‘remarkably right’ content for Asian women through our websites, app, and social media platforms, as we create non-judgmental communities of support for our audience.
Our flagship brand, theAsianparent (available in 11 local languages) reaches over 23 million users monthly.
Catering to the different life stages and needs of Asian women, we’ve also built Asian Money Guide – personal finance and career portal for women; HerStyleAsia – delivering cutting edge content on the Asian entertainment, style, and culture scenes; and Nonilo – our food, home, and DIY lifestyle hub.
